What services are available?
Our zone visit scheme includes the following services:
- Vaccinations (includes basic health check).
- Routine dental services.
- Medication reviews.
- Microchipping.
- Identification.
- Blood samples.
Please note that further examinations may be required following an initial examination performed under a zone visit; these may not qualify for further zone visits.
The following services are not available under the zone visit scheme:
- General examinations.
- Advanced dental cases.
- Ultrasound.
- Radiography.
- Pre-purchase examination (PPE).
- Endoscopy.
- Reproductive services.
- Castrations.
- Sedate to clip/dentist/farrier.
How do clients book?
Visits must be booked by 4 pm on the Thursday before the desired appointment at the latest. We are unable to offer same-day zone visits.
Visits are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, and in some areas may be fully booked prior to the closing time.
Clients will be given a one-hour time slot for their visit at least one day before.
Useful information
If no zone visits are available, another vet will be able to provide a normal visit at an agreed time, and the standard visit fee will apply. Specific times can’t be booked.
If a visit for a specific time is required, we will be more than happy to provide this service, and the standard visit fee will apply.
Zone visits can’t be booked with a specific vet, but a zone visit will always be from one of our team of equine vets.
Reminder of visit charges
If four or more horses are seen at a visit, there is zero visit charge. This can be booked for a specific vet at a specific date/time.
If there are three or more clients, a normal visit will be cheaper for each client. This can be booked for a specific vet at a specific date/time.
